Born Dean Donny Huijsen Wijsmuller on April 14, 2005, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to parents, Mascha Wijsmuller and Donny Huijsen. His father Donny Huijsen was a professional footballer who played for Jong Ajax and also had a professional career in the Eredivisie.
Hujsen’s family moved to marbella, Andalusia, Spain, when he was five years old and he became a Spanish citizen in February 2024. He can speak several languages like Italian, English, Dutch and Spanish. His religion is not publicly known.

He began his career at the youth level with Costa Unida CF in 2010 and went through the youth academy of Malaga and Juventus. He made his senior debut for Juventus reserve team, Juventus Next Gen in January 2023 and made his Serie A debut the following October.
