Born Desire Nonka-Maho Doue on June 3, 2005, in Angers, Maine-et-Loire, France, to an Ivorian father and French mother. He is of mixed ethnicity as he holds dual citizenships of French and Ivorian. He has a brother named Guela Doue who is a professional footballer and also cousins, Yann Gboho and Marc-Oliver Doue who are also professional footballers.
He began his career at the youth level with Rennes. He was promoted to the senior team in 2022 where he had two seasons before moving to Paris Saint-Germain for a reported transfer fee of €50 million. He had an impressive performances for PSG in his debut season, achieving a treble, and also making an impact in their UEFA Champions League title, having scored twice in the final against Inter milan. For his efforts, he received the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award.
