Born Sverre Halseth Nypan on December 19, 2006, in Trondheim, Norway.
Sverre Nypan began his career at the youth level with Nardo and went through the youth academy of Rosenborg from 2020 to 2022.
He signed his first professional contract with Rosenborg in January 2022 and became part of the first team squad in April. He made his debut in a match against Jerv on November 6, 2022, where he became the youngest player ever to play for Rosenborg at 15 years and 322 days. He scored his first goal in a match against Bødø/Glimt in May 2023.
He signed a new contract with Rosenborg in Septemner 2023.

However, Manchester City agreed deal to sign Sverre Nypan in June 2025, for a reported fee of €15 million.
At the international stage, he represented Norway from under-15 to under-21 levels.
