Born Trevoh Tom Chalobah on July 5, 1999, in Freetown, Sierra Leone. He was raised in Gipsy Hill in the London Borough of Lambeth. While details of his parents are not publicly available, he has two brothers Nathaniel Chalobah and Paul Chalobah. Nathaniel Chalobah is also a professional footballer who passed through the Chelsea academy before moving to other clubs. He is from the Krio ethnic group in Sierra Leone where we have many Christians. He is married but details of his wife has not been made public.
Chalobah career began at the Chelsea youth academy where he went through different loan spells and later broke into the first team. At the youth set up with Chelsea, he played the Uefa youth league (2015-16), FA Youth Cup (2015-16, 2016-17), and Under-18 Premier league (2016-17).
He had his first experience of senior football with a loan spell at Ipswich Town (Championship, 2018-19) where he played as a midefieldr with 42 appearances and two goals. He went on loan to Huddersfield (Championship, 2019-20) with 36 appearances and one goal, FC Lorient (Ligue 1, 2020-21) with 29 appearances and two goals, and Crystal Palace (Premier League, 2024-25) with 12 appearances and 3 goals.
